"CONTINUING CARE IS CRITICAL TO SUCCESSFUL OUTCOMES"
|
It is a well known fact within the recovery community that the first year is
extremely important and within that year the highest rate of relapse
happens in the first 90 days. With this fact in mind the ART recovery
model was developed as an effective continuing care component to aid
in the transition following previous treatment. The model's outpatient
design puts the emphasis on understanding and applying the 12-Steps
of recovery with focus on steps one through four. One of the most
overwhelming facts learned from many years experience in the field and
in their personal recovery is how many of the people who relapse never
finished or even began step 4.
The ART recovery model was designed to support clients in their first 90
days to 6 months of recovery and to aid them in 12 Step recovery with
in formation and education regarding addiction and recovery from
addiction.
The ART Continuing Care Program is an 8 week program that
complements and supports a clients previous treatment or 12 Step
participation. The program consists of one individual counseling
session and a group counseling session per week. Education,
workbook materials and visual presentation designed to help, support
and increase insight to 12 Step recovery in a supportive therapeutic
environment helping to bridge the 90 day period.
